Moa and Kin, a boutique family-owned enterprise, originated from a deep-rooted desire to offer personalised, friendly, and expert short-term let services. Initially flourishing in the picturesque UK cities of Bath and Bristol our brand has always been about more than just managing properties; it’s about creating memorable experiences for both owners and guests.

Our journey began over a decade ago, spearheaded by Jonny Baylis in the UK. Drawing from his extensive travel experiences and a successful background in organising global Christian pilgrimages, Jonny’s vision was to create a unique Airbnb management company that prioritises client care and exceptional service.

Inspired by his travels and admiration for New Zealand, Jonny named the brand after the majestic Moa, a native New Zealand bird, symbolising the strength and distinctiveness we bring to property management.

Expanding on this success, Thomas Bielby, a seasoned lawyer and Jonny’s close friend, established the New Zealand branch. His expertise and passion for law and property management have been instrumental in replicating our model’s success in New Zealand’s vibrant towns such as Queenstown, Wanaka, Christchurch, and Auckland. Together, they embody the essence of Moa and Kin – combining professional acumen with a personal approach.

Today, we continue to partner with a select group of property owners, aligning our services with their unique needs, from co-hosting support to full management solutions. Our goal is to ensure every property we manage not only meets but exceeds expectations, fostering memorable stays for guests and profitable, hassle-free experiences for owners.
